Deze route langs mooie dorpjes met Venetiaanse huizen leidt naar het beroemde historische klooster van Arkadi.
.Van Rethymno, die de Old National Road, de route leidt naar het toeristische dorp Platanias en van daar naar Adele, een rustig dorp met zijn centrale nederzetting dat dateert uit het Venetiaanse tijdperk.
.Vanuit Adele gaat de weg naar Agia Triada of Santa Trinita voor de Venetianen. In het centrum van het dorp ligt de Venetiaanse kerk van Santa Trinita.
.De weg van hieruit klimt zuidwaarts met de richting naar Charkia, en passeert een indrukwekkend wild en rotsachtig landschap.Charkia wordt verfraaid door de kerk van Agia Anna en de majestueuze eikenboom die als een natuurlijk monument is gekenmerkt.
Op een afstand van 3, 5 km naar het oosten, is het dorp Kavousi.In dit mooie en rustige dorp op een hoogte van 560 meter, interessant om te bezoeken is de bewaard gebleven kerk van Agios Ioannis Theologos daterend uit het Venetiaanse tijdperk.Bij de uitgang van het dorp, is er een klein zeldzaam bos van Holm eiken.
.Vlak voor Arkadi vertakt de weg rechts richting Thronos van Amari, een andere mooie route, terwijl deze links naar het beroemde historische klooster van Arkadi leidt door een bos van grote pijnbomen.Het daalt dan af naar Amnatos, een prachtig dorp met vele Venetiaanse herenhuizen, met het meest interessante is het herenhuis van de familie Sanguinatsu dat een prachtige Venetiaanse deuropening met de inscriptie bewaart:Intelligent Sapiente TIMOR DOMININY Er is ook een Folk Art Museum en het School Museum. Het uitzicht op de vallei van Rethymno vanuit dit dorp is geweldig.
Kirianna is het volgende dorp.In dit historische dorp zijn er verschillende oude tempels.Er zijn nog schaarse architectonische elementen van de Renaissance stijl en de Byzantijnse kerk van Panagia, gebouwd in de architectonische stijl van een vrij kruis met een koepel, domineert imposant.Deze kerk siert het dorp sinds het begin van de 11e eeuw en is een van de meest interessante voorbeelden van kerkelijke architectuur op Kreta.
De weg gaat verder richting het dorp Loutra.Hier is het de moeite waard om de mooie steegjes van het dorp met de stenen huizen, en een prachtige fontein met een Turkse inscriptie te bezoeken.De weg bereikt Rethymno die voor het eerst door de dorpen Pigi en Adele.

This route passing by beautiful villages with Venetian houses leads to the famous historical Monastery of Arkadi.
From Rethymno, taking the Old National Road, the route leads to the tourist village of Platanias and from there to Adele, a quiet village with its central settlement dating back to the Venetian era.
From Adele, the road forks off towards Agia Triada or Santa Trinita for the Venetians. In the center of the village is located the Venetian church of Santa Trinita.
The road from here climbs up southwards with the direction to Charkia, and passes through an impressive wild and rocky landscape. Charkia is embellished by the church of Agia Anna and the majestic oak tree which has been characterized as a “natural monument”.
At a distance of 3, 5 km to the east, is the village Kavousi. In this beautiful and quiet village at an altitude of 560 meters, interesting to visit is the preserved church of Agios Ioannis Theologos dating back to the Venetian era. At the exit of the village, there is a small rare forest of Holm oak.
Just before Arkadi, the road branches to the right towards Thronos of Amari, another beautiful route, while to the left, it leads to the famous historical Monastery of Arkadi through a forest of large pine trees.
