Une belle route qui relie certains des sites les plus importants de la préfecture, églises byzantines, monastères et sites archéologiques.
.De Platanias, la route provinciale traverse une série de beaux villages intéressants et monte vers le monastère historique d'Arkadi.
.Après Eleftherna la route descend vers les Margarites pittoresques, un village avec une longue tradition en poterie.
.Cette tradition remonte au moins aux années de domination ottomane et fait du village de Margarites l'un des plus importants centres de poterie de la Crète occidentale.
.Ici, entre autres, vous allez visiter les églises byzantines d'Agios Georgios (14ème siècle), Agios Ioannis Theologos (1383) et Sotira Christou.
.La route rencontre l'Ancienne Route Nationale, et un peu plus loin le carrefour vers les villages Alpha et Erfi. Son église d'Agios Ioannis est décorée de peintures murales du XIVe siècle de superbe qualité.
.Puis la route continue vers Viran Episkopi, d'où vous prenez à nouveau l'ancienne route nationale et de retour à Rethymno à travers le village de Stavromenos.
