Run in Zeus Steps" Seit 2010 ist Kreta im Rahmen des "Internationalen Psiloritis Mountain Race", das jeden Sommer stattfindet, ein Ort, der alternative Wege des Tourismus mit der zentralen Idee der unvergleichlichen natürlichen Schönheit des gebirgigen Kretas aufnehmen kann. Das Psiloritis-Rennen (Laufen in Zeus-Stufen) ist eine sehr beliebte Rasse, da es den Mythos mit den Läufern verbindet, die den Spuren der Geschichte auf dem heiligen Berg Zeus folgen. Die Erfahrung ist einzigartig und gibt den Läufern die Möglichkeit, die natürliche Landschaft und die bergige Umgebung zu genießen, die mit Vitalität und Energie gefüllt ist. Das Hauptrennen ist die 50 km lange Berglänge, eine ziemlich anspruchsvolle und schwierige Strecke, die etwa 7 Stunden dauert. Ausgangspunkt ist das Plateau von Nida in Anogia und von dort geht es weiter zum höchsten Gipfel des Berges auf 2.456 Metern und endet im Dorf Anogia. Es umfasst auch ein Rennen und ein 8,5 km langes Laufen, das vom malerischen Dorf Platanias ausgeht und im Dorf Kouroutes endet, sowie ein 2 km langes Kinderrennen, das im Dorf Kouroutes endet. Alle Routen bieten einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die gesamte Insel. The experience is unique, giving the chance to the runners to enjoy the natural landscape and the mountainous environment that is filled with vitality and energy. The main race is the 50 km mountain length, a quite demanding and difficult route, which takes about 7 hours. The starting point is the plateau of Nida in Anogia and from there continues to the highest peak of the mountain at 2,456 meters, ending in the village of Anogia.
